Coding is as follows (comes after the Misc_events section): I've tried putting them in a Terrain_events section, but I don't know if that did anything or not, as the ballistae and traps do not appear. However, I am having some issues here understanding some things:ġ) In Arch's tutorial, it has Terrain_events, which while I don't know how often these would get used, would be nice to know how they work. Though makes me sad that there's no solid way to do manaketes in FE7.unless there IS a workaround for it?). This is all for FE7 (as FE6 seems too unreliable with its mechanics, and FE8 I hear is terrible to hack. I have been using Arch's tutorial for the most part on this. I'm assuming it's the same as usual), and various other events. Dunno how to do cutscenes or whatnot yet. Hello all! I am currently in the midst of learning how to code (in the 2-3 days I started learning this, I already know how to do: Units, AI, Location_events, Turn_events, Character_events, most misc_events, opening events (a little cutscene stuff here and there), ending_event (only know how to move to next chapter atm. So there's my Fire Emblem life story for those interested! Any other questions, feel free to leave them here! ^^ Read the LP on Something Awful's archives for FE1, was disappointed when there wasn't that much dialogue for characters and whatnot, then read up FE8 through Eirika's route and was midly interested (also, Myrrh <3 ), and decided finally, what the heck? I'll actually try playing FE8 and Let's Play it! And well.here I am! Oh, and getting involved in hacking kinda helped a bit too I suppose? ^^ Turns out that I really liked them (obviously), so I decided what the heck, I'll go look up the other games. Found out that I started to like the characters from Awakening quite a bit, in particular Tiki, Nowi, and Nah the most (but Gerome, Chrom, Frederick, and Cynthia are all pretty nice too), and looked videos and stuff up on those 3 more to see how they were like. About 5 years from knowing about her, I heard about Awakening and got interested in it when I heard Tiki was in it (because she was really the only character I knew about), and actually did some research and stuff on the game. Then Brawl came around and I was introduced to Ike (whom seemed like a pretty cool guy), and then later on in MUGEN, I was first introduced to Tiki. Melee (back then I didn't care much for Marth, but I really liked Roy for some reason). So, what got me into Fire Emblem? Funny story actually! You see, years ago I like many others, probably didn't even know that the series existed until Super Smash Bros. Oh, and I have a MUGEN project that I myself haven't done anything on for 3-4 years, but it's still going! ^^ ^^ Īnywho, name's Xenomic! Some may know me from other places (MUGEN forums such as Mugen Fighter's Guild, Mugen-Infantry, MugenFreeForAll, etc.), YouTube, GameFAQs (though I haven't visited in years), DeviantArt, and probably some other places! There's.honestly not a whole lot for me to say about myself truth be told! I'm just a guy that still has yet to find a job (had one 6 years ago, but haven't been able to get one since then due to combination of bad luck and laziness.>_> ), just making a RPG Maker 2k3 game and learning how to hack FE7 (the ONE game that's not too hard to learn to hack but doesn't have proper manaketes _ ), as well as doing Let's Plays on various games! Other than that? I.don't do a whole lot else other than maybe do traditional art on paper and pencil. ![]() G'day to you all! I have been around for the past month or so, but haven't really introduced myself at all, have I? Kinda jumped the gun asking about manaketes and all that, ehehehe. I was wondering about the data though because would the data need to be just copy/pasted and then left alone/slightly edited? Or would it need completely edited? Because of FE7 having leftover data for manaketes in FE6.I'd imagine that copy/pasting the remaining data would be enough. Well, I've heard that someone managed it but they have no animations or sounds. Thanks! That takes care of the healing problem now! Now all I need to do is figure out how terrain events work (and figure out how to script arenas as I didn't see Arch's tutorial cover that at all. It's funny because in one of the videos that Arch did, it said to use -HPRestoredValue. Actually, thinking on this, that may be because she doesn't wield a staff to begin with, right? : S). Odd.if I don't set 0x4C, it'll initiate the fight with Ninian and Lyn, but it doesn't heal her in the fight.but with 0x4C, it'll heal her for 20 HP on the map. ![]() Huh.that worked (though it heals the target on the map and not in battle.
